Tabitha

Tabitha is a owner of a convience store comically named "Store Mart". It runs during night hours rather than during the day. She has a rather tall and imposing figure, which she uses to intimidate people she has a distaste for. She often meets with and has befriended many non-human entities who are frequent customers.

She suffers from insomnia which is part of why she chose night opening hours. Tabitha is very well-versed in unusual topics such as alchemy and strange unconventional uses for reagents. Despite this, she does not often practice such methods herself, but uses them soley for business purposes.

Biography

Early Years

Tabitha was raised by her dad, Thomas, while her mom was mostly absent. Her parents never married. Occasionally her mom would stop by just to see how she was doing, but she never tried to get that close. She was always frustrated at how boyish Tabitha was. She would try to get her to be more "like a girl" by gifting her things like dresses or makeup, but Tabitha was never interested. As a result, their relationship was always strained.

Thomas was much more supportive of Tabitha and didn't care about things like that. After falling ill and generally being in poorer health, he passed down his grocery store to Tabitha, who is now the owner.

Store Mart

The land the building was built on seemed to be in a sort of strange where the fabric of reality is thinner. Sometimes people walk into the store and come out somewhere else. People with odd quirks would stop in, requesting odd things, but when you'd check the aisle it would be there. There were always odd sounds coming from one of the bathrooms, and a strange light under the crack of the door. Tabitha had opened the door once to find it empty. She didn't check again after that. Tabitha's dad had built a positive reputation amongst the strange people who would visit, causing even more of them to show up, which increased the odd events. He didn't mind.

Relationships

Mimi

They've been best friends for years, with a teasing sort of relationship. They enjoy poking fun at each other, but feel that they can talk to each other about more serious things. Mimi is extremely jealous of Tabitha's tall stature.

Tabitha's Dad

They've always had a positive relationship with one another. After his health declined, Tabitha has grown increasingly worried about him. They still regularly see each other.

Tabitha's Mom

They have a strained relationship due mostly to Tabitha's mom's closeminded view on what a woman should be like. She doesn't understand why Tabitha refuses to date anyone, and why she wears men's clothes. She'll sometimes drop by every month or so and try to convince her to act more like a woman out of the sense that she should at least acknowledge her daughter.
